

I found this little token, and I don’t know anything about it. It's a little larger than a quarter, a little smaller than a 50-cent piece.
On one side it just says “Peace.” On the other side it says “World War / Began / August 1, 1914 / U.S. Entered April 6, 1917 / War Ended / Nov. 11, 1918." There are higher resolution images available over on my Tumblr.
I’m guessing that, because it just says “World War,” that it dates to between 1918 and 1939. If anyone can tell me anything about it, please leave a note in the comments.
Edit: From what I've been able to find, these tokens were mass-produced shortly after the war ended. The little fob at the top would have attached to a ribbon to be worn. They aren't valuable, but still pretty cool.
(If it were in pristine condition with the ribbon still intact, it would be worth about $50. Mine is worth about a nickel.)
